Chipton-Ross is seeking a Milling Machine Machinist 2 for a contract opportunity in Chandler, AZ.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

o 6 years machining experience. o 4 or more years setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes. o Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills. o Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring tools. o Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and address conflict in a constructive manner. o This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Looking for a Milling Machine Machinist 2 to support our internal CNC machine shop where you'll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside other machinists, programmers and engineers to make our technologies a reality. Responsibilities:
o Set up and operate 3-axis CNC mills, 5-axis CNC mills and multi-axis CNC lathes. o Cut stock materials in preparation for machining parts. o Use calibrated, precision measuring tools to check part features throughout machining to ensure part quality. o Provide feedback to CNC programmers to help improve machining processes. o Create simple CNC programs using NX CAM o Apply clean-as-you-go and 5S principles while performing work daily.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

o 10 or more machining experience. o 7 or more years setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes. o 2 or more years programming CNC machines using CAM software o Working with Mitsubishi controls on a DMG-Mori lathe. o Working with Haas controls on Haas 3-axis and 5-axis mills. o Familiarity with aerospace industry documentation, specifications and quality requirements.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High School Diploma/GED is required. School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:

Full-Time 9/80 workweek. 100% on-site. This position will serve on-site at Launch Vehicles Business Unit in Chandler, Arizona.
