Position Summary:
The Associate Grocery Buyer is responsible for assisting with purchasing, pricing, and product assortment across multiple store locations. This position works closely with the senior buying team, store directors, and department managers to ensure proper inventory, competitive pricing, and strong vendor relationships.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Assist with purchasing grocery products and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
• Monitor sales performance, margins, and stock needs.
• Support vendor communication, negotiations, and promotional planning.
• Review purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with store directors and grocery managers to ensure merchandising accuracy.
• Maintain records, reports, and spreadsheets related to purchasing.
• Stay current on grocery industry trends and competitor pricing.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in grocery retail, buying, or merchandising preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
