Job Description

Le Quartier Baking Co. in Dundee is looking for a part-time baker. We are located on 5026 Underwood Ave. Our ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, communicative, and hard-working, and able to work independently . This position is 3 days a week currently, may grow to 4 days later. This role is focused baking pastry and bread for the store, receiving product deliveries, and setting our customer service staff up for success by making sure they have quality product to sell. Start time for baking shifts varies between 4:30-5am but may be earlier for special orders/holidays. Weekend availability is required.

Availability

We are seeking someone who can work baking shifts Tuesday and Sundays, and work a prep shift on Fridays. Flexible availability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Bake fresh pastries and bread daily
• Stocks our deli with fresh quiche, egg patties, bacon, fruit cups, etc.
• Maintains the quality standards of Le Quartier
• Organizes dough and ingredient orders, places orders for product from our other stores
• Manages their time and always finds work to do
• Communicates well with others
• Understands their task list
• Continues to learn the job
• Clean and sanitize workstation and equipment

Qualifications

• Attention to detail in all aspects of baking
• Ready and able to work early morning hours
• Experience as a baker or working in a kitchen is a strong plus- training will be provided
• Passion for producing artisanal quality food
