Do you have an ear for language and a passion for music?

Welo Data is looking for a German Lyric Reviewer to help us train cutting-edge AI. This role is perfect for you if you're a linguistic expert who loves music and wants to help improve automated translation systems. Your work will directly impact how AI understands and translates song lyrics.

This is a review-only position—no translation or editing is required. You'll simply evaluate the quality and accuracy of machine-translated lyrics from English to German.

Key Responsibilities

Assess machine-translated lyrics for meaning, naturalness, and contextual flow.
Provide quality ratings based on predefined criteria.
Identify and flag translation issues, awkward phrasing, or cultural missteps.
Maintain a consistent and objective judgment throughout the review process.

Project Details

Pay Rate: Approximately $17/hour for Learning Explicitness & Translation Quality
Location: Remote work, available to residents in many countries including Germany, US, Spain and Remote.
Hours: Flexible schedule, with an average of 4 hours per day.
Start Date: ASAP
Employment Type: Freelance
Project Duration: Long-term

Qualifications

Native-level or near-native proficiency in both English and German.
A deep understanding of linguistic nuances, idioms, and cultural context in both languages.
The ability to maintain focus and attention to detail when reviewing large volumes of content.
Prior experience in translation, localization, or linguistic quality assessment is a plus.
Bonus points if you have:
Familiarity with various music genres and lyrical styles.
Experience with online evaluation tools or platforms.
