Position Summary:
Power of Fitness in Palm Desert is seeking a motivated, organized, and leadership-driven Gym Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure an exceptional member experience. The Gym Manager will supervise staff, manage facility performance, maintain high customer service standards, and support the growth of the gym through strong leadership and operational excellence. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for health and fitness.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily gym operations to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Supervise, train, and schedule front desk staff, trainers, and support personnel
Manage membership sales, renewals, upgrades, and customer service escalations
Maintain facility standards, including cleanliness, equipment condition, and safety procedures
Monitor financial performance, including budgets, expenses, and monthly targets
Implement marketing initiatives, promotions, and community engagement activities
Maintain strong member relationships to drive retention and satisfaction
Handle conflict resolution and member concerns professionally
Ensure compliance with company policies, health standards, and safety regulations
Report operational updates and performance metrics to ownership/leadership
Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff development
Qualifications:
Previous experience in gym management, fitness facility operations, or team leadership required
Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to manage staff schedules, workflows, and performance
Knowledge of fitness equipment, facility safety, and membership systems
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills (POS systems, scheduling tools, CRM platforms)
Passion for fitness, wellness, and delivering a great member experience
