Position Overview A leading technology organization is seeking a skilled Hardware Validation Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a strong background in hardware systems, validation methodologies, and root cause analysis. The engineer will contribute to the reliability and performance of complex platforms including servers, networking equipment, and computing devices. Key Responsibilities + Lab Setup & Configuration + Build and maintain validation environments using appropriate hardware, tools, and software to replicate real-world conditions. + Test Execution & Optimization + Conduct structured and exploratory testing to assess system performance under various loads. Provide feedback to improve test coverage and design robustness. + Issue Reproduction & Analysis + Reproduce hardware and firmware issues, isolate root causes, and collaborate with engineering teams to drive resolution. + Reporting & Documentation + Maintain detailed logs of test results, debug activities, and technical support efforts for traceability and knowledge sharing. + Cross-Team Support + Assist in resolving integration issues during validation phases by working closely with software, hardware, and operations teams. + Team Collaboration + Partner with stakeholders to align validation efforts with broader technical and project goals. + Additional Engineering Tasks + Support other technical initiatives as needed by engineering leadership. Qualifications & Skills + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred) + 5+ years of experience in hardware validation, development, or manufacturing support + Strong understanding of server architecture, system buses (e.g., PCIe, USB), and diagnostic workflows + Familiarity with networking hardware, power systems, and desktop platforms + Proficiency with lab tools (oscilloscopes, DMMs, soldering equipment) + Experience with system management protocols (e.g., IPMI, Redfish) + Knowledge of communication standards (e.g., Ethernet, PCIe) + Scripting or programming experience (e.g., Python) for automation and analysis + Excellent documentation and communication skills + Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Fremont, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $88000.00 - $120000.00/yr. Medical,Vision, 401K, PTO, Holiday Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Fremont,CA.
