CELL CULTURE TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

• Isolation, growth, subculture of mammalian cell cultures.
• Tissue dissection and small animal surgery.
• Lab maintenance, stocking, cleaning.
• Digital and hardcopy recordkeeping.
• Microscope work.
• Quality Control testing, data collection, and analysis.
• Depending on personal aptitude, the candidate may also be involved in cell isolation and other cell-based research & development projects.

CELL CULTURE TECHNICIAN CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• A B.S. degree in cell biology or closely related field.
• 1-2 years laboratory experience, or equivalent, is preferred.
• Possess a great work ethic
• Track record of completing tasks in precise and punctual fashion.
• Possess outstanding manual dexterity and be able to carry out aseptic work.
• Be able to carry out calculations necessary for determining cell doubling time, cell concentration, seeding density, molarity, etc.
• Be comfortable with what can sometimes be repetitive work, including extended use of microscopes.
• Be extremely neat and detail-oriented.
• Be familiar with life science laboratory equipment.
