Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.

We are seeking a skilled PE in Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for a variety of construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, communication, security, and fire alarm systems.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems into the building design.
• Conduct load calculations and energy efficiency assessments to optimize system performance and to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Review and analyze project requirements, proposals, and technical reports.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of electrical systems on-site, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
• Stay current with industry trends, technology, and regulations to ensure innovative and sustainable design solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with electrical emphasis.
• PE registration in South Dakota or the ability to obtain within 1 months of hire.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical design within the construction industry.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit.
• Experience with lighting software or SKM PowerTools.
• Working knowledge of building, energy, electrical, and life safety codes.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and use time productively to maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
• Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and values.
• Ability to demand the highest standard of ethical conduct from self and others.
• Ability to travel as needed for projects.
