About Us

Northwest Helicopters is a growing operator providing aerial services including Feral animal control, charter and low-level survey work. We value precision, safety, and professionalism. As we expand, we are looking for a dedicated and safety-conscious R44 Helicopter Pilot to join our team.

The Role

This position involves a variety of operational flying, including:

• Low-level aerial survey
• Various Charter
• Feral Animal Control
• Maintain Aircraft and hanger Cleanliness
• General R44 operations in regional and remote areas

This is a full-time role with  most flying conducted locally , so  you’ll be home most nights

Minimum Requirements

• Valid  Commercial Pilot Licence – Helicopter (CPL-H)
• R44 Type Rating
• 800+ Hours Total Time
• Demonstrated  low-level flight experience
• Valid  Class 1 Medical Certificate
• Completed  Dangerous Goods (DG) awareness course
• Valid  First Aid certificate
• Valid ASIC Card
• Current DAMP Test
• Nil Accident history
• Valid Manual Drivers licence
• Strong communication and situational awareness
• Ability to work independently and in remote field conditions

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Low level flying Eg; Aerial Culling, Mustering, Surveys.
• Firearms licence/Firearms Experience
• Basic Mechanical knowledge/Helicopter Servicing Eg; 50hr Maintenance Authority
• Positive attitude and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork
• Willingness to assist with ground operations when required
• Need to be able to work independently and always mindful of the companies best interests.
