Job Description
Salary: $35 / Hour
The 1:1 School LPN/LVN identifies and treats healthdisorders among students in the school setting. The 1:1 School LPN/LVN providesinstruction for the student's general wellbeing and disease prevention. TheSchool LPN/LVN monitors the student's physical conditions in the school settingand refers the student to appropriate resources as needed. The work of the School LPN/LVN is performedin compliance with his/her LPN/LVN scope of practice and according to stateeducation codes.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Current LPN/LVN license for the state in which the nursepractices
+ Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
+ One year prior professional nursing experience in schoolsetting preferred
+ Pediatric experience preferred
+ Current BLS card
+ Considerable knowledge of medical disorders and treatment
+ Considerable knowledge of child growth and development
+ Some knowledge of public health problems and procedures fortreatment in coordination with other health and social service agencies
+ Some knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws andregulations affecting the delivery of school health services
+ Understands the school organization and the community served
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
