The Grounds Department has a vacancy for a Mobile Equipment Operator 1.

This position operates mobile equipment to perform primary regular or recurring grounds work necessary for the beautification growth and maintenance of the properties for the university.
This position requires Drug Testing either because it involves safety and security sensitive work operation/maintenance of public vehicles or the supervisor of employees engaged in the operation/maintenance of public vehicles and may require possessing a valid drivers license or commercial drivers license.
No experience or training is required.

This vacancy is being announced as a classified position and is open to all qualified applicants and may be filled as a probationary or promotional appointment . This is a full-time 40-hour per week position and considered non-exempt under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and overtime can be mandatory. The selected candidate will be subject to a comprehensive background search to include criminal history and is subject to drug/alcohol testing at new hire and on a random basis. This position may require a clear driving record if required to drive on behalf of the University.
