Job Description
An innovative and fast-growing clinical research organization is seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technologist with a strong background in molecular biology . This role focuses on laboratory processing and molecular diagnostics, particularly PCR-based methodologies , supporting translational and clinical research efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform sample preparation and processing using molecular biology techniques, with a strong emphasis on PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) .
- Support daily operations of the molecular lab, including sample tracking, quality control, and documentation.
- Assist in the development and validation of molecular assays in accordance with clinical research protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely data entry, contributing to study documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with research and clinical teams to ensure effective communication and workflow.
- Ensure adherence to lab safety protocols and regulatory guidelines (e.g., CLIA, CAP).
- Communicate with both English- and Spanish-speaking colleagues, clients, or study participants as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science , or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a molecular laboratory setting , ideally within a clinical research or diagnostics environment.
- Proficient in PCR techniques , with familiarity in nucleic acid extraction and quantification.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish .
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
