Job Description

Title:   On-site driver needed at the S&L Materials 520 Mine\Plant. Christmas FL or surrounding area
Jr Davis Construction\S&L Materials is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to fill the position of On-Site Driver .  This individual will be responsible for Transporting and stock piling materials on-site with a Mack dump truck and other moving equipment for lifting, moving, or placing loads.
We are one of the largest heavy highway and civil construction firms in the state with over 900 employees, while still retaining a family business atmosphere.
COMPENSATION: Based on experience. Our OJT (On the Job Training) will allow you to move up in our company as your skill set expands.

Responsibilities:

• No experience necessary we will train a suitable
• Safely and productively operate a dump truck on-site
• Clean and maintain dump truck and the soil cement plant
• Understand  and follow a strict safety policy
• Manual labor: Shoveling, operating a 20 pound air hammer to clean plant and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Active Driver license . CDL not required.
• Must have a safety first attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.

Knowledge & Skills:                                                                                                                                                                                                      

• A good attitude and willingness to learn  requirements will be trained on-site
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to listen, follow directions, and have a willingness to continue to enhance skills.
• Must be able to fit in confine spaces.
• Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination
• Frequently lifts and/or moves objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally objects weighing more than 50 pounds with a partner.
