Job Description

Summary: All pharmacy technicians support pharmacists by performing technical duties with compassion, excellence, and efficiency.

• Must be 18+ and meet competency expectations.
• Perform non-judgmental tasks under pharmacist supervision, including preparing drug orders, verifying records, compounding pharmaceuticals, and issuing controlled substances.
• Maintain accurate patient medication records and departmental documentation.
• Serve in specialty areas like operating room or outpatient clinics, providing services such as medication reconciliation and outpatient dispensing.
• Ensure safe, cost-effective drug therapies, interpret medical records, and report adverse reactions promptly.
• Coordinate patient education and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Handle occupational hazards, including exposure to hazardous substances and potential injuries.
• Requirements include a high school diploma, pharmacy technician registration, and preferred experience or certification.
• Part-time position.
