Arconic is currently in search of a Procurement Manager to join our Building and Contruction Team in Cranberry Township, PA .

Responsibilities
The Cranberry Procurement Manager develops and leads the Plant Procurement team and is an integral part of the Business Unit operations leadership team. The overall goal is to achieve the best total cost position for all external spend of the respective plant, the lowest sourcing risks, best supplier performances and ensuring highest efficiency and effectiveness of the Plant Procurement team. This role ensures the optimal collaboration of Plant Procurement with Capital Procurement as well as with Category Management and Regional Procurement to achieve best procurement results and is directly responsible for the Plant Procurement targets.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the Plant Procurement Operations function including setting the strategy for Req to PO processes for the location
  • Leads a team of Buyer/Planners, Specialists, Strategic Sourcing & Estimating functions
  • Works in close conjunction and alignment with Capital and Category Procurement
  • Shares savings targets with Category Management on Plant-specific spends i.e. Performance areas: Cost Savings (SRT), Supplier performance, challenging of material & service specifications (demand management), procurement organizational efficiency.
  • Monitors and controls plant procurement target achievement and initiates counter measures if necessary
  • Communicates supplier issues to BU Procurement Director and Category Management
  • Participates in supplier meetings jointly with Category colleagues if relevant for the Plant
  • Conducting Bidding of Capital Projects and Site Services
  • Completing all ASATs & Compliance as required
  • Conducts all Supplier Negotiations for the Cranberry location in regards to Contracts, Payment Terms, Delivery, Pricing and/or warehousing
  • Troubleshooting issues as needed which may include PO related management, Supplier engagement for rejected material, escalations of all kinds, problem solving, technical issues and testing requirements.
  • Responsible for all Cost Roll at the Cranberry facility
  • Develop and maintain constructive business relationships with key suppliers.
  • Projects of any kind as directed
  • Strategic Sourcing Initiatives as directed
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited Institution. (Engineering, finance, business, or supply chain preferred)
  • 3-10 years previous work experience in purchasing and/or supply chain management.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the USA. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of Hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Certification - Certified Purchasing Manager (CPIM, CPM or CSCP) is preferred.
  • JD Edwards or Oracle Experience
  • Demonstrated flexibility over multiple categories and suppliers
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Project Management, able to manage resources and timelines
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Innovative, Strategic thinker.
  • Technical proficiency required, ability to read prints and understand complex manufacturing processes
