Quality Engineer | Allegan, MI

Salary Range: $71,000 - $105,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans and procedures for manufacturing processes.
• Monitor key quality performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, engineering, R&D) to ensure product quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Manage and maintain quality documentation, including FMEAs, control plans, and work instructions.
• Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools to analyze data and improve process capability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in core quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, Root Cause Analysis, PPAP).
• Strong understanding and application of ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems.
• Demonstrated ability in data analysis, statistical methods, and problem-solving.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification.
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software such as Minitab or JMP.
• Experience with specific industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 13485).
