Quality Technician | Jenison, MI

Salary Range: $44,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products against specifications.
• Utilize precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM) to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
• Document inspection results, create quality reports, and maintain accurate quality records.
• Identify, quarantine, and document non-conforming materials and assist with root cause analysis.
• Conduct various product tests and experiments according to established procedures.
• Assist in the development and revision of quality control procedures and work instructions.
• Support calibration activities for inspection and test equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and GD&T.
• Working knowledge of quality control principles, statistical process control (SPC), and root cause analysis.
• Experience performing quality inspections and tests in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification.
• ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification.
• Experience with CMM programming or advanced metrology software.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• Knowledge of specific industry quality standards (e.g., ISO 13485, AS9100).
