The Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled nursing care to patients specializing in the care of patients post PCI, pacemakers, AICDS, post MI as well as cardiac pharmacological inventions. The RN will perform patient assessments, administer medications, interpret cardiac rhythms, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver optimal patient care.

Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias.
- Respond to patient emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide patient education and support.
- Document patient care accurately and completely in the electronic medical record (Epic).
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Peripheral Line Care/Management
- Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management
- Isolation Precautions
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NYS)
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of MS/Tele experience
- Proficiency in interpreting cardiac dysrhythmias
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response
- Experience with EPIC charting system
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in a tertiary care hospital setting
Special Considerations:
- Must be available for some holidays
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
- Every other weekend required
Scheduling:
- 3x12 hour day shifts
