Job Description

Golden Rain Foundation (GRF) is seeking full-time Security Officers to maintain safety and security within the Leisure World Seal Beach community. The position requires active patrolling, directing traffic, and providing customer service both in-person and on the phone.

Golden Rain Foundation:

Leisure World Seal Beach is the nation's first major planned retirement community. The community is spread over 542 park-like acres which offers resort style living with all the amenities of small-town living. The Golden Rain Foundation has been serving the needs of this community since its inception.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma, a valid BSIS Guard Card or ability to obtain within six months of hire, and an unrestricted California Driver’s License. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interact positively with the community, staff and visitors. A successful candidate must also pass a pre-employment physical, criminal background and drug screening.

Responsibilities:

The Security Officer's duties will include:
- Establishing entry control into the private community
- Directing visitors and non-visitors to assigned areas
- Completing incident reports as necessary
- Dispatching when needed
- Providing customer service
- Patrol duties

Work Schedule, Compensation and Benefits:

This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position requiring a 40-hour workweek and a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends and holidays. Overtime hours may be necessary at times. Hourly pay for this position ranges between $17.50 to $24.15 per hour. Benefits eligibility begins after 30 days of employment and includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, FSA, 401(k), Pet Insurance and more.
