This role requires candidates who are currently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, and C2C arrangements are not accepted. This role is remote but you must live in the area for occasional on-site meetings.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Guidewire Developer to support the development, configuration, and integration of enterprise Guidewire applications, with a strong focus on PolicyCenter implementations. This role is hands-on and delivery-oriented, contributing to large-scale platform transitions and enhancements within an Agile development environment.

The ideal candidate has deep Guidewire development experience, is comfortable working in production environments, and can collaborate effectively with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance Guidewire PolicyCenter functionality

• Deliver sprint stories within a two-week Agile sprint framework

• Develop and configure Guidewire components including:

  • Business logic and batch processes

  • User interface (UI) changes

  • Messaging and queues

  • Web service integrations

  • Page configuration files

  • Unit tests using Guidewire’s testing framework

• Write clean, maintainable code using Gosu and Java

• Support testing efforts by designing, executing, and validating test plans

• Participate in code reviews and present technical solutions to peer developers

• Present completed work during sprint reviews to development teams, product owners, and stakeholders

• Provide production support, including on-call rotation, ticket triage, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis

• Review logs, diagnose issues, and implement timely fixes

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet deployment and release deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire , particularly PolicyCenter configuration and integrations

• Advanced development experience with:

  • Gosu

  • Java

  • IntelliJ-based development environments (Guidewire Studio or similar)

• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams

• Experience supporting applications in a production environment

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Guidewire APD Framework

• Experience with Guidewire Integration Framework

• Familiarity with middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft or similar)

• Experience integrating with external systems using:

  • REST

  • SOAP

  • API testing tools such as Postman

Work Environment

• Primarily remote role with occasional onsite collaboration requirements

• Participation in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

• Fast-paced environment with regular deployment cycles
