Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle DBA to lead and support the migration of Oracle databases from on-premises (version 14 or above) to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) (version 19 or higher). The ideal candidate will also have experience integrating Oracle with Snowflake , including the creation and management of secure data tunnels between the two environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Oracle database migration projects from on-premises to OCI.
• Design, implement, and maintain Oracle databases in OCI, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to establish secure and efficient data pipelines between Oracle and Snowflake.
• Create and manage network tunnels and data exchange mechanisms between Oracle and Snowflake environments.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices.
• Perform database upgrades, patches, and backups.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior DBAs and developers.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Oracle database administration (version 14 or above).
• Hands-on experience migrating Oracle databases to OCI (version 19 or higher).
• Strong understanding of OCI architecture, services, and tools.
• Experience working with Snowflake in a hybrid cloud environment.
• Proficiency in creating secure tunnels and data integrations between Oracle and Snowflake.
• Solid knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Shell, Python).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or equivalent certification.
• Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus
