Job Description

What you will be doing:

• Communicate with clients to gather documentation needed to prepare tax returns.
• Assist with tax planning and projections.
• Prepare individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns.
• Communicate with partners regarding open items or other important matters in a timely manner.
• Complete tax research, reconciliations, or other special projects.
• Prepare client correspondence or other communications pertaining to tax notices.
• Track time and out-of-scope billings; prepare client invoices.
• Work efficiently with electronic documents using designated computer applications.
• Attend continuing professional education seminars.
• Maintain confidentiality with client information.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Experience you will need:

• 2+ years of recent tax experience in partnership and individual tax preparation and planning with a public accounting firm.
• Detail-oriented, highly accurate and able to meet deadlines.
• Experience with Lacerte is a plus.
