Job Overview

The Logistics Manager oversees the logistics team, including both hourly and salaried personnel, handling receiving and shipping across ETE’s various facilities and locations. This role involves setting work priorities, ensuring adherence to processes, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The manager will support inventory control, the flow of materials to the operations floor, and the shipment of finished goods. Cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Operations, Quality, Sales, Customer Service, Transportation, and IT is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety standards.
• Lead team efforts to meet and exceed daily KPI expectations; drive process improvements.
• Design and implement production flow processes and operational procedures for:
• Verifying incoming shipments
• Handling and disposition of product
• Warehouse inventory accuracy
• Selecting and loading shipments
• Receiving operations
• Assist with evaluating and procuring material handling equipment.
• Act as the subject matter expert in logistics operations.
• Analyze labor needs and coordinate departmental staffing to meet productivity and service goals.
• Manage and mentor Managers and Supervisors through coaching, policy training, problem-solving, and leadership.
• Promote employee engagement and retention aligned with ETE’s core values.
• Oversee staffing requirements, participate in interviewing and hiring processes.
• Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary action as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of logistics management experience in a Lean/Continuous Improvement environment.
• Minimum 5 years experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Managerial experience in high-volume distribution and production environments.
• Proficiency in Syteline (preferred) and general familiarity with inventory and supply chain systems.
• Proven leadership and team development abilities.
• Ability to write reports, develop procedures, and train staff.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Forklift, electric forklift, and pallet jack certifications (preferred).

Working Conditions

This position is primarily located in our manufacturing facility. At the manufacturing facility, you will be exposed to a variety of smells and sounds associated with the manufacturing process. Eye, shoe and ear protection is required when you go on the manufacturing floor.
