Job Description

Roetzel & Andress, a national law firm with a busy and growing litigation practice, seeks a Litigation Associate for its Toledo, Ohio and Detroit, MI practice with experience in handling litigation matters.  While this position is physically based out of Roetzel’s Toledo office, remote flexibility is offered.

Primary responsibilities for this position include all aspects of practice in Federal and State Courts in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan, and the general support of partners in a variety of civil litigation matters from inception.

Position requirements:
  • In excess of two years of litigation experience in state and federal courts.
  • Member of the Ohio or Michigan Bar in good standing.
  • Exceptional research and writing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently with multiple partners while using sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Demonstrate abilities to manage relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong work ethic and desire for professional development.
  • Meet or exceed the required monthly billable hour requirements.
  • Top 25% of class and law review or moot court (or similar program) preferred.
