Job Description

Location: Williamsport, PA, 17701

Shift: Variable shift | 8 Hours

Duration: 12- weeks contract

Weekly Pay: $1920 $2120

Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during procedures
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control practices
• Ensure proper care and handling of surgical specimens
• Assist with draping, gowning, and gloving of the surgical team
• Set up and operate surgical equipment as needed
• Perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments according to hospital policy
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in cleaning, restocking, and turnover of operating rooms between cases
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other perioperative staff
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and professional standards of practice

Requirements:

• 2 or more years of visible specialty experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
• National certification (NBSTSA or NCCT) required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
• Experience in a variety of surgical specialties preferred
• Ability to adapt to variable shifts and surgical team assignments
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

• Locals accepted - local pay rate will apply for candidates residing within 75 miles.
