Work Schedule: Hybrid (On-site: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday | Remote: Wednesday, Friday)

Position Summary:

CMS Energy is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Analyst II to support our procurement operations. This role is critical in coordinating vendor relationships, managing procurement activities, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills to ensure that procurement objectives align with company standards and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all aspects of the procurement process, including payments, deliveries, scheduling, and order placement.
• Analyze procurement data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and optimize supply chain performance.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with vendors to ensure alignment on contractual terms, delivery schedules, and service expectations.
• Review contracts and purchasing agreements to ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments to forecast purchasing needs and support strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Travel to vendor locations and facilities as needed for meetings, audits, or inspections.
• Document procurement activities and maintain accurate records for reporting and compliance purposes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the company professionally in vendor interactions.
• Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement management software/tools.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of professional experience in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management.
• Internship or co-op experience in a related field will be considered for recent graduates.
• Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Oracle).
