**Job Summary and Responsibilities** **Position Summary:** The incumbent is an entry level Respiratory Therapist who can perform all therapies provided by the Respiratory Care Department throughout most of the hospital with minimal to moderate assistance with the exception of NICU. **Job Requirements** **Minimum Qualifications:** + Six (6) months working clinical experience as a student RCP + Associates Degree from an advanced level education program + BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS required + Current California State provisional license + RG RRT must be obtained within 6 months of hire into the position + NPS credentialing must be completed within 2 years of hire + EEG Competency within 1 year + Must be able to clearly communicate in English and possess critical thinking skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** + One year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital preferred + Registered Respiratory Therapist - Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (RRT-NPS) certification preferred **Where You'll Work** For more than 70 years, Mercy Medical Center Redding has offered comprehensive health care in the North State, providing acute care and a full range of medical services.
